stealth technology definition

The use of advanced design and specialized materials to make an aircraft difficult or even impossible to detect by radar.

Note: Stealth aircraft were used for the first time in the Persian Gulf War, where they were highly successful.

Note: The term is now used to refer more generally to something that remains hidden or unknown: “This is a stealth proposal: no one knows what it means.”
