a pendulum the weight of which is rotated alternately in opposite directions through a horizontal plane by the torsion of the suspending rod or spring: used for clocks intended to run a long time between windings.

torsoclusion tor·so·clu·sion (tôr’sə-klōō’zhən) n. Acupressure performed by entering a needle in the tissues parallel with an artery, turning it so that it crosses the artery transversely, and then passing it into the tissues on the opposite side of the vessel. See torsiversion.
