Tryptophanase
tryptophanase tryp·to·pha·nase (trĭp’tə-fə-nās’, -nāz’, trĭp-tŏf’ə-)
n.
An enzyme that catalyzes the cleavage of tryptophan to indole, pyruvic acid, and ammonia and that is commonly found in bacteria.
