Tubal pregnancy

An ectopic pregnancy developing in the fallopian tube.
tubal pregnancy [(tooh-buhl, tyooh-buhl)]
A pregnancy that begins with implantation of the embryo in one of the fallopian tubes instead of in the uterus. Tubal pregnancy is usually caused by a defect in the tube that prevents the fertilized ovum from moving freely through it.
