Snake
1. A long limbless scaly reptile, some being poisonous. 2. The symbol of rejuvenation and healing in many ancient Mediterranean cultures. The Greek god Asclepius, who specialized in healing, had a single snake entwined around his staff — the “Asclepian staff.”
