Aero


The name given to the user interface (UI) for Windows Vista operating system. The interface is referred to as Aero Basic, and Vista also offers a second version called Aero Glass which provides even more graphics intensive features but requires a 3D video card that supports DirectX 9, and it must have a Longhorn Display Driver Model (LDDM) driver. The Aero interface introduces translucent title bars, rounded edges, and stylish color schemes, amongst other features.
