Microsoft Vine


A location-aware social networking service that enables people to stay in touch with family and friends and to be informed when someone needs help by providing emergency information. Using Vine, people can create communities, use alerts, reports and access a personal dashboard to stay in touch with others during emergencies. Vine ties together social tools like Twitter and Facebook with e-mail and text messaging, Internet-connected computer systems, wireless devices, and phones. The name of the service was derived from “grapevine”.
