Dock Talker
a person (usually living alone at a marina on a boat) that doesn’t have much interaction with other people so he/she is hungry for conversation.
when you finally get a chance to escape your daily life and get a little time on your boat, this person always intercepts you and starts up a conversation that’s hard to end without being rude.
i had one day off from work and i planned for a quiet day on my boat fishing. instead i spent the first half stuck at the marina trying to get away from george, the dock talker.
