elder geek
a person, typically middle-aged or older, who was a geek before being a geek was popular. an elder geek is often but not always an alpha geek.
a set containing all elder geeks might include:
1. someone who worked with the first commercially available microcomputers, like the altairs or trs-80s (computer elder geek);
2. someone who played the original dungeons and dragons after it was first published in 1974 (gamer elder geek);
3. someone in the united states who collected anime and manga when it had to be ordered directly from j-pan.
