a non-verifiable, counterfeit factoid. a fact-rd is created, often impromptu, from bits and pieces of otherwise real information, to support the creator’s opinions.
unlike a factoid, a fact-rd is essentially misinformation, pulled out of the air, sometimes related to something the speaker or writer has read or heard, and usually to support an otherwise unsupportable stance.
a fact-rd presenter often speaks or writes with strong conviction, believing in it’s truthfulness and accuracy.
