ferganistic
a type of approach that some teachers use frequently when teaching a lesson (most common in us studies). it’s where a teacher goes so deep into an example it is as if there is no turning back to bring the conversation back to the original topic. this deep example starts to feel more like a crazy tangeant. it often makes students forget what cl-ss they are in.
colleague: what? how did we go from talking about american industrialization to talking about child prost-tutes in us history?
other colleague: oh that’s just mr. phoenix’s ferganistic approach to that topic. don’t worry he fully prepares you for the exam.
