a festikid is someone who lives on unemployment and spends what little money he/she has on festivals (e.g. sasquatch, burning man, coach-lla etc.) all year round.
mark: so what do you do?
julie: i work at an it startup in sf. what about you?
mark: well, after i graduated cal i was an activist. but now i’m just living on unemployment and being a festikid.
julie: a festikid?
mark: yeah man, it’s the 2000s, that’s what our generation does.
