fibulating
the action of b-ttoning or unb-ttoning one’s shirt
it is an archaic word (no longer in everyday use) but it deserves to be reintroduced into the english language, as it describes an common action performed regularly by many people.
i fibulated this morning.
it is difficult to fibulate with cold hands.
small children may require help fibulating.
