Food Praise Wave
a common occurrence at dinner tables wherein one person breaks the silence with remarks conveying enjoyment of the food and/or praising the culinary ability of the individual who prepared the food, thereby compelling everyone else at the table to offer similar praise, one-by-one, in a circular pattern that proceeds around the table, either clockwise or counterclockwise, until all have spoken.
