FORTRAN
short for formula translator. it is the original high-level programming language. common versions include: fortran 77, 90 and 95. though very old, fortran is still a very common language among scientists and engineers.
fortran 77 is still the most common version.
the ‘f’ word of computer languages!!
this programming language is old and made for punch cards, but has still made it to our college system of present day computer.
i made a counting program using fortran.
