the original name of glinda the good, in gregory maguire’s book “wicked”. she changes it to “glinda” in the memory of dr. dillamond, who mispr-nounced her name as “glinda”.
this name is also used in the broadway production of wicked, based on the book. the role was originated by kristin chenoweth.
