a single from young jeezy’s debut alb-m: let’s get it: thug motivation 101. the 10th track labeled “get ya mind right” is a reference to jeezy as being the “realist gangsta alive”. the song also references several activities one has to “get ya mind right” for; i.e trapping, disrespect (perceived and actual), police pursuits/interrogations/custody/har-ssment, baby mama drama, d boy activities and so on……
over time this has grew into a state of being for individuals who have become deeply rooted in the -ssociated culture. while mainly being confined to the southern states…over time the ideology has grown to a significant portion of the u.s
