Godbody

g-dbody is a slang name for the members of the urban, black empowerment, youth movement called the five percenters. it was founded circa 1964, in harlem new york city by a former minister of the nation of islam named clarence x 13, a.k.a the father (he ministered in mosque no.7, the same mosque as malcolm x). five percenters are considered to be a splinter group of the nation of islam, and a cult by the f.b.i. it is also considered to be a dangerous prison gang by some states’ department of corrections. their philosophy is closer to the realist school of thought than any other. they don’t believe in religion or the supernatural claiming that these are just concepts designed to keep people in fear of thinking independently and seeking truth. among other things, they believe that the black man was the original man on earth, and all other races are descendents of ancient africans. they also believe that only 5% of the population is truly free and possesses knowledge of self (hence the name five percenters). 85% is the slave population, or the deaf dumb and blind. the remaining 10% are the holders of knowledge that enslave the 85% by keeping them ignorant of their real history and true ident-ty (in short, if there ever was an illuminatti, they would fall under the 10%). five percenters refer to themselves as the nation of g-ds and earths (black men are considered g-ds, black women are considered earths). their members are considered g-dbody. some famous people believed to be five percenters, or g-ds are: wu tang clan, certain members of mobb deep, nas, busta rhymes, de la soul, styles p, smiff n wesson, and common.
