Gothic Emo
a contradiction in terms.
emos are not gothic, and goths are not emo. they both sprang from the punk subculture, and they both wear a lot of black, but that’s where the similarities end.
gothic emo – it’s one or the other, folks.
this is a term used by top-40 pop kids who talk like preps, act like preps, and listen to a lot of prep music, even though they spend a lot of their time crying and writing the most irritating poetry ever while listening to music that can be found on disney radio. hot topic caters to the f-ckheads who use this term first and foremost. by the way, hot topic is owned by disney. what a coincidence.
crystal casually said, “well, i’m a gothic emo and i love darkness and freaks.” she is now a married christian mom only a year later, and probably still listens to a simple plan and disturbed. she probably still talks like a valley girl: “omigod, i love cute little kitty cats, like, omigod!”
someone who wears the emo style (hoodies, tight pants, eyeliner yadda yadda..) and listens to emo music (fall out boy, 30 seconds to mars, hawthrone heights ect.) but has more of a gothic personality. (is able to not care about all the fuss, has a good friend, opens up to them, but is cold to other people)
emo: -crying-
gothic emo: ……dont cry.
emo: -still crying-
gothic emo: just..stay clam.

gothic emo: right. goodbye.
wears black red, small bits of white and purple.
some wear make-up. some are self-harmers. people dodn’t really understand them, which causes the real ones to become more isolated and emo.
listens to music like billy talent, nightwish or green day.
can be found in high schools, shopping centres or downtown type areas.
despite the rumors they aren’t satanists but many are a kind of self religion in where they believe in jesus, but think that he doesn’t like them.
one thing every real one has in common is that they get depressed, while some about the world’s corruption and how its dying or family issues.
gothic emos are otherwise know as. black emos, loners, unloved, dramatisers, exageratists or new emos.
most names are unfair though.
