halian
n. a person, usually irish, who cannot be categorised, with a certain level of eccentricity and mishcheiviousness. often identifiable by a willingness to try anything ‘for the craic’. one can only know if one is a halian by searching inside oneself to find the ‘inner halian’, which is said to be different for each person.
