hashtag poetry
hashtag poetry is a form of poetry that uses hashtags from social media. it started in 2018 with author brandon lawson when he began to make poems based off of hashtags on his twitter. usually the hashtags are from trending hashtags. a person would generally t-tled a poem off of a trending hashtag, and make a poem based on that hashtag. examples are past hashtags on twitter such as #womensrights where a person would make a poem t-tled #womensrights and from there make a poem about it. hashtag poetry is a very simple but also efficient form of poetry for it provides the writer with endless amount of content since there are always hashtags trending. as of now hashtag poetry isn’t really a popular thing yet anyone on social media can do it.
