he-ter-ar-chy (hět’ə-r-är’kē)
1. a form of social organization in which the heteros-xual is the supreme authority in society or in which h-m-s-xuals are placed at low value and lowly regarded.
2. a society, community, or country based on this social organization.
3. a family, community, or society based on this system or governed by heteros-xuals and, usually h-m-phobes.
with all these h-m-phobes in the white house, our country feels like a complete heterarchy.
the new gay senator is bringing down the heterarchy.
