describes someone attracted primarily to members of the same s-x (h-m-s-xual), but occasionally attracted to members of the opposite s-x and/or able to derive pleasure from romantic encounters with members of the opposite s-x.

h-m-flexibility is related to, but different from bis-xuality in that h-m-flexible persons most often identify as gay or lesbian, despite occasional relations with members of the opposite s-x. the term may sometimes be appropriate as a synonym for bi-curious, where the individual in question is primarily h-m-s-xual.

the term “heteroflexible” was first developed to describe primarily heteros-xual persons who occasionally enjoyed hooking up with members of the same s-x. “h-m-flexible” later began to be used as a parallel term as defined above.
gay boy: “i hooked up with tina on the bus the other day. it was great!”

i would say that i’m lesbian but sometimes i find men attractive, and im definitely not bi. i guess you could call me h-m-flexible.

i got way too drunk at that party last night, i saw this hot -ss dude and that’s when i knew i was h-m-flexible
a gay man or woman who has s-xual play with someone of the opposite s-x under certain circ-mstances thereby making them a “h-m-” who is “flexible.” not “bi” where they actively are interested in both s-xes, but a person who is normally 100% gay who engages in s-x or some sort of s-xual encounter with someone of the opposite s-x for various reasons such as in exchange for something, circ-mstantial timing, for fun, or out of boredom.
a h-m- flexible could be submissive lesbian who has a male dom, or a twink with a female dom. a h-m- flexible could be a gay man or a lesbian who sleeps with or m-st-rb-t-s an opposite s-x friend out of pity or to console them. needing s-xual release, a h-m- flexible could be a gay or lesbian who grabs the first willing person to “take care of their need” even if the person is of the opposite s-x.
a bit like hetero-flexible but h-m–flexible is when one is h-m-s-xual, but would comsider doing something with the other s-x. this mostly excludes dating the other person, because if you did it would make you bis-xual.
thomas really likes guys, he knows hes not straight, but katie is quite appealing to him. he’d consider her as a hookup, nothing more.
