huxleyism
huxleyism is a term, derived from the book brave new world, written by aldous huxley, and it means ‘an excessive amount of consumerism, to the point where cl-ss war is unthinkable and would actually not benefit the proletariat, as the truth is swallowed in lies, even though it is still there (i.e. fake news). the people will be distracted from the truth by unnecessary distractions, like entertainment.’
reporter: if you had one ideology to describe our society, what would it be?
communist: huxleyism.
reporter: well, i’m certainly shocked by your answer.
