Instavention
an instavention is an orchestrated attempt by one or many people – usually family and friends – to get someone to seek professional help with an addiction to posting / and or liking to many photos on instagram.
“my facebook news feed just informed me a friend liked 37 photo’s on instagram.. she needs an instavention asap”
when someone falls into a viscous cycle of seeing reality through an instagram filter and needs to actively remove the app from his/her world temporarily so he/she can re-learn to love life without the ‘likes.’
when she started thinking in hashtags and seeing every joyous moment through xx pro/valencia (depending on the lighting), her friends knew it was time to stage an instavention.
