gary schofield’s -ssistant on milking gaia online to death. his tactics include willfully destroying the enjoyment of non-paying users through selling (and devaluing) gaia gold, spamming advertis-m-nts to users through all conceivable means, and endlessly pumping out hastily-done recolors of old items so that he could have more funds to waste on the flop that is tentacl.
jason was later seen promoting those methods to others in his “introduction to gamification” slideshow, where he compared the site’s users to dopamine-addicted lab rats that can’t resist to be stimulated to the point of starvation. despite all of gaia begging him to stop releasing gold generators, he refuses to do so because he’d rather pretend that users love gold generators.
that moron of a coo, jason loia, is taking it for granted that gaia users are a bunch of gamers who want to waste their money buying everything that gives them easy access.
it’s actually interesting that jason likens his products to bitter pills we have to swallow. that pretty much says he thinks the products his company produces are cr-p, or bitter pills that need to be sugar coated. way to boost employee morale by insinuating you think your company’s products are boring and mundane!
