jovan campbell (born november 1, 1990 in st. louis, missouri1), better known as jibbs, is a rapper.campbell was only 9 when he started rapping locally. in 2006, his song “chain hang low” was very popular, climbing into the top 10 of billboard’s hot 100 chart before the alb-m came out. his alb-m “jibbs feat. jibbs” won the next-to-blow award at the ozone awardscitation needed. on bet’s 106 & park, jibbs stated how he does not use any profanity in his records. this is uncommon for most modern rappers but other artists such as will smith have also avoided profanity. he was only 16 when his cd was released and joined chris brown as one of the youngest hip-hop artists to gain great success from their debut alb-m. he is also a fromer boxer. he also was in the golden gloves.
