popular catch phrases “keep it genius” and ‘keeping it genius” originated in the hampton roads area of virginia. it infers the the performance or pursuit of academic and/or intellectual endeavors at an advanced level. used similarly to the catch phrase “keep it real”. often abbreviated to “kig”, used as an adjective in the form “kiggity”, and as a verb in the form of “kiggit”.
today i’m going to keep it genius and work on some cancer research.
he’s keeping it genius with his big brain and getting a’s on everything.
