Kenning it
refers to when a someone, particularly middle-aged men named kenn, is too dumb or lazy to do a home improvement project the right way and instead takes the easy way out by doing a shoddy, make-shift job that’s bound to fail when least expected. for example, taping down kitchen tile with cheap double-sided tape (instead of mortar), removing or cutting a structural beam in a house for more head room, or covering an exterior electrical wire with plumbing tape to protect it from the rain.
ex. 1 using masking tape to hold down the roof shingles? what the h-ll?! you are really kenning it today.
ex. 2 will you quit kenning it already? i’m tired of having to re-do every project you touch.
