drug heavily used in some middle-eastern and african countries. consumed either through chewing the leaf like coca-leaves or brewed as tea after being dried. results in feeling of euphoria and increased concentration (used by many students for “studying” purposes). resembles caffeine, but is illegal in the us. however, no one cares.

it can also suppress the appet-te.
although it’s a stimulant, many users report a feeling of calm if it’s chewed over a few hours. some describe it as being ‘blissed out’.
khat is not an illegal substance in the uk, but it is in many other countries.
