a word used to describe an indefinite time in the past (e.g. last week, last month, last year)
remember lasterday when we went to the beach?
my daugther doesn’t grasp the concept of the word yesterday. even after being corrected she insists on using her own created word for the day after today.
meaning: the day or days before today, any day before the current day with no exact date in mind.
i did that at school lasterday.
the last yesterday, in other words, the day before yesterday.
the teacher spoke to her cl-ss…
“i’m sorry i was ill yesterday but we’ll continue with what we were talking about lasterday.”
the time peroid that falls between yesterday and last week. excelent for college students who don’t have the capacity to remember what day it is.
jess: yell lost her phone lasterday.
last night, yesterday
joel made me soup for dinner lasterday
means yesterday and last night.
what did you do lasterday?
when you don’t remember what happened last night but knew it was yesterday.
