when someone has waay too much to drink and makes a complete -ss of themselves, to the point when you no longer want anything to do with the situation and let them stumble through their own ridiculousness. also a way to describe or justify shenanigans from the night before.
often used as a way to say “goodbye” after a drink, implying that you will not remember or be held responsible for anything that occurs after said drink.
a: did you see that drunk girl dancin on the box in her bra?
b: yeah, wow. later rita.
a: you were such a mess last night you p-ssed out on the kitchen floor wearing a sombrero.
b: haha yeah i was later rita. where did i even get that hat?
