levan polkka is a finnish folk song from the 1800’s about a young women who falls in love with another man at a ballroom, and her mother does not approve. this song is most recognized by the j-panese voice synthesizer band “vocaloid” and is also popular reffered to as “loituma”, as the band, loituma, were one of the first ones to play this song live on stage and make their own cover version.
