lipstick on a pig
slang for when someone tries to dress something up, but is still that something. usually used on ugly broads, when they put on a skirt and some lipstick and well, they still look like the same digusting pig.

sarah palin. barack meant something else when he said it, but this comment is a spot-on summary of her campaign and political career.
she may be an ex-beauty queen, but this porker’s record is as ugly and dirty as they come. google “anne kilkenny” for the gruesome details.
g-d help us all if that woman becomes vp (and let’s face it, she’s really running for president as mccain has not just a foot but most of his body in the grave already). you can put lipstick on a pig, but she’ll still be a p-ss-poor candidate.
