etymology: “man” + “catastrophe”
meaning: some sort of disaster involving a man. usually has something to do with a girl, although major injuries, missing a football game, and midlife crises also count.
i had a total mantasrophe the other day; i missed the big game and my girlfriend broke up with me. i suck. think i’ll go get a beer or something.
