to state with absolute certainty that you will be at an event, then fail to show up without canceling. usually characterized by also failing to respond to any attempts at communication by those who are waiting.
differs from other forms of flaking or canceling late, as the offending party does not communicate their non-attendance, and does not respond to any attempts to figure out where he is.
