Metacronym
a metacronym is a meta-acronym- an acronym which includes itself. synonymous with recursive parsonym. comes from the greek prefix ‘meta,’ meaning self. common naming convention for open-source software.
alpha: “i need to run windows programs on my linux machine so i used an emulator called wine.”
beta: “no! wine is metacronym for ‘wine is not an emulator’!”
delta: “don’t you mean ‘wine is not an emulator’ is not an emulator?”
gamma: “don’t you mean ”wine is not an emulator’ is not an emulator?’ is not an emulator?”
