to provoke conversation between two strangers. in a traditional neev scenario, after the host makes the introduction he/she will then walk away (leaving the two to “chat it up”). the term is of irish origin.

shawnee: “wow, great job neeving us together.”
2) michael: “the dinner party was lame. it was a group of 5 strangers, and the host didn’t even have the courtesy to neev us.”
means foundation or roots in hindi.
the word neev is used to describe the foundation of something.
