Nicking Around
nicking around is the act of when someone is being really nice and gives you the idea that that they want to be around you. then out of nowhere ignores and avoids talking to you or being around you in anyway. nicking around is a random occurance, but when it does occur causes people to feel “nicked off”.
me: i asked david if he wanted to hang out today.
beth: oh yeah? what did he say?
me: well it was good at first, but then he started nicking around on me!
beth: ugh! that’s so annoying, did you feel “nicked off” after?
