Noredom
noun
a state of mind similar in nature to boredom, however noredom differs significantly from boredom in cause.
noredom can also be accurately described as defensive boredom.
a state of noredom can be quite difficult to obtain. one has to have a large number of activities to do (preferably that must be done) and a strong and persistent sentiment that one would rather cut off one’s own limbs than do any of them. this will instill enough of a sense of ennui for noredom to take hold.
“so what did you do all morning? where’s that report i wanted?”
“i browsed the internet out of noredom instead. meh.”
