Office Space Effect
(noun) the fictional effect depicted in the movie office sp-ce wherein one is driving on the highway. the lane that you are currently in is moving slowly or not at all, but the lane next to you is going along just fine. you switch lanes, and then the new lane comes to a stop while the lane you were just in begins to move.
driver: argh! why is this lane not moving? all the other ones are!
p-ssenger: well why don’t you switch lanes?
-switches lanes and that lane stops-
driver: we’re still not getting anywhere and now that other lane is moving! d-mn office sp-ce effect!!!
