old school rap
used when referring to early rap music, usually between 1970 and 1997-ish.
primary focuses of old school rap are usually more docile than that of newer rap, focusing on simply hanging out, or looking for women, rather than glorifying crime and prost-tution. the artists typically proclaim themselves ‘drug free’.
