Omon Davenbos
namibian amatuer sports ministry. organizes and regulates amatuer sports in the republic of namibia. charter member of sub-saharan african sports organization (saso), also member of pan african sports union.
founded in 2002 by order of president sam shafishuna nujoma and initially organized by prime minister theo-ben gurirab with funding from the national council. omon davenbos (light of youth in oshivambo language) adminsisters all male and female amatuer sports in namibia.
recently omon davenbos has formed a ministry to -ssist namibian athletes in efforts to use their skills for educational and professional opportunities overseas.
