pixel-fucking
when someone pays way too much attention looking at a visual effects shot in a film. often happens when examining the grain of a composite element to make sure it matches the film stock. someone who pixel-f-cks pays more attention to things like grain than the overall effectiveness of the shot. this is often because they are small-minded bean-counters, and miss the point of a shot entirely.

the meaning is applied to when someone is meticulous about the tiniest changes, (i.e one pixel left, one pixel right)in a design of some kind.
my boss is a pixelf-cking, pixelf-cker, but that’s what makes him good at what he does…..
