Plasma Rifle
(in halo for xbox) a directed energy weapon used by covenant forces. capable of semi-automatic or automatic fire, although continuous rapid fire overheats the weapon which in turn depletes the power core. the power output is 100-150 kv : 2-3da, rate of fire is 420-600 rd/min. it is currently unknown how to replace or recharge a power core.

a really cool weapon. it appears in many video games, especially in fps games.
