pocket veto

the act of taking no act, most often used as a p-ssive aggressive response to undesirable advances. easiest way to “respond” to a written request to have lunch or just-go-do-something. neither “yes” nor “no,” but really “no.”
hey, you know i think you’re pretty cool and all. i was wondering if you weren’t doing anything this weekend if you wanna catch a movie or something…

-pocket vetoed. 10 years later- still no response.-
1. a presidential power where he vetos a bill by leaving it unsigned until congress is out of session.

2. a facebook and mysp-ce tactic where rather than rejecting a comment or friend request you leave it in limbo nither rejected nor accepted. less harsh than a real rejection it also means that the person cannot send another request as long as you have not decided on their original request.
1. the president pocket vetoed the new bill, try again next session guys.

2. who the h-ll is this guy? i wont even qualify it with a rejection, pocket veto his -ss.
the act of ignoring a comment, such as a reminder of debt, in hopes that the subject will be dropped and forgotten about.
i brought up his $20 debt to me, but he totally pocket vetoed me and ignored it.
v. : to ignore a facebook invitation to an unfavorable or undesired event, until the event has p-ssed, rendering the invitation moot; esp. an event happening shortly after the invitation was sent.

to use complacence and disinterest to get your significant other to break up with you so you don’t have to break up with them.
i didn’t have the heart to break up with her, so i pocket vetoed her.
