a pop machine is a male or female singer, songwriter, or band that turns out m-ssive amounts of music to which they become very famous and rich.
-can be used in a derogatory manner (too many annoying songs on the radio) or in an applauding manner (keeps on churning out endless musical creativity), it depends on how you view the artist.
michael jackson, lady gaga, the beatles, jay-z, queen, the black eyed peas, u2, garth brooks, metalica, sheryl crow, the rolling stones, beyoncé, celine dion, abba, kiss, van halen, madonna, nirvana, pearl jam, eminem, mariah carey, rihanna, and countless others are all major pop machines.
