profitology
the art of manipulating one person to do the work of two people, while receiving the same pay as one.
one example of profitology; a company decides to layoff employees to improve productivity. therefore, one employee is laid off, and their workload is added to a remaining employees workload. the remaining employee now works twice as hard, for the same pay. this allows the employer to gain more profits, and pay themselves even larger bonuses.
an artform which involves the study and implementation of strategic and tactical manoeuvres made by an individual in order to further his own interest. the practice can be ruthless towards an opponent. this term is derived from the tv show profit whose lead character is jim profit.
