(film) – released june 2012 – a science fiction/horror film by sir ridley scott, and written by jon spaihts & damon lindelof. it stars noomi rapace (the girl with dragon tattoo), michael f-ssbender (magneto from x-men first cl-ss), guy pearce, idris elba (thor film), logan marshall-green and charlize theron (uber hottie actress). set in the late 21st century, the story centers on the crew of the sp-ceship prometheus as they follow a star map discovered among the remnants of several ancient earth civilizations. led to a distant world and an advanced civilization, the crew seeks the origins of humanity, but instead discovers a threat that could cause the extinction of the human race.

the film is related to ridley scott’s “alien” movies, and is set in the same fictional universe, however, there are many changes and differences.

the name of the film, prometheus, is also the name of the earthling’s sp-ce-ship, sponsored by the weyland corporation (precursor to the weyland-yutani corp of the alien films).
“prometheus, are you seeing this?” says elizabeth shaw (played by noomi rapace) as she radios the prometheus sp-ceship to ensure they are witnessing what she is seeing through her sp-cesuit, which is an absolutely huge bust of a humanoid head, which looks strangely human, and is surrounded by many containers filled with some deadly outer-sp-ce cr-p that the crew should have left the h-ll alone!
