used by stephen colbert in his h-t television show the colbert report. refers to the increasing tendency of parents to medicate their children with pharmaceutical drugs for every little perceived behavioral abnormality their children exhibit even though many such behaviors (such as restlessness) are normal.
my friend sarah is really into psychopharmaparenting. she has her kids on at least five different medications because she thinks that children should be able to sit perfectly still all the time.
